Ad Notes · Chrome extension
Terms of service
Ad Notes is a free tool provided as is by one person. These terms set out what that means: what you can expect, what you are responsible for, and the limits of my liability.
Effective November 4, 2026. Applies to the Ad Notes Chrome extension, item ID nindafjblmbdjhmjkjcmfklcddkkjegj.
Who provides Ad Notes
Ad Notes is written and maintained by Tim Gibson, an individual, reachable at ppcadguy@gmail.com. There is no company behind it. By installing or using the extension you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use it.
What Ad Notes does
Ad Notes records notes about advertising campaign changes into the Google Sheets and Google Docs that you choose. It captures notes you save inside Google Ads, and lets you add notes by hand on other advertising platforms. It writes directly from your browser to your files. See the privacy policy for exactly what it accesses and why.
It is free, and it is provided as is
Ad Notes costs nothing and carries no warranty of any kind, express or implied. That specifically includes any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
I do not promise that it will work without interruption, that it will capture every note, that the notes it writes will be complete or accurate, or that it will continue to work at all. Advertising platforms change their interfaces without notice, and a change on their side can stop capture working until the extension is updated.
What you are responsible for
- Having the right to access the advertising accounts, Sheets and Docs you use it with, including any permission your employer or client requires.
- Choosing the correct files, and the tabs and routing rules for each. Ad Notes writes where you tell it to.
- Keeping your own backups. Notes live in your own Sheets and Docs, under your control, and you can edit or delete them at any time.
- Checking that what was written is what you meant, before relying on it.
- Complying with the terms of Google and of any advertising platform you use it alongside.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of Ad Notes. This applies however the claim arises, whether in contract, negligence or otherwise, and whether or not I was advised that such damage was possible.
That includes, without limitation, notes that were not captured, notes written with wrong or missing details, notes written to the wrong file or tab, duplicated notes, changes to a file you did not intend, and any decision made in reliance on the contents of your notes.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, my total aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid for Ad Notes, which is zero.
No affiliation
Ad Notes is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or otherwise connected to Google LLC, Meta Platforms, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Reddit, TikTok, Snap, Amazon, Pinterest, X, StackAdapt, or any other advertising platform. All product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe what the extension works with.
Your data
I do not receive, collect or store your notes, the contents of your files, or your advertising data. It goes from your browser to your own Sheets and Docs and nowhere else. The privacy policy is the authoritative description of this, and nothing in these terms overrides it.
Changes and availability
I may change, suspend or discontinue Ad Notes at any time, with or without notice. If it is discontinued, the notes already in your Sheets and Docs remain yours and are unaffected, because they live in your Google account rather than mine.
Ending your use
You may stop at any time by disconnecting in the extension and uninstalling it. That revokes its access to your Google account. Notes already written to your Sheets and Docs stay there, because they are your records.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, this page is updated and the effective date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use Ad Notes after that means you accept the revised terms.
